About the position

The Varsity Head Tennis Coach at Durham Public Schools is responsible for leading and managing the tennis program at Durham School of the Arts. This role involves coaching student-athletes, developing training programs, and ensuring a positive and competitive environment for the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the varsity tennis program.
• Develop and implement training programs for student-athletes.
• Foster a positive and competitive team environment.
• Coordinate practice schedules and game strategies.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration.

Requirements

• Experience in coaching tennis at a high school or collegiate level.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to develop training programs and strategies.
• Knowledge of the rules and regulations of tennis.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a head coach or assistant coach.
• Certification in first aid and CPR.
