About the position

This individual will be working on designing and creating models for commercial projects, primarily focusing on electrical layouts and coordinating the creation of models that will be used in the fabrication process. The designs are much more detailed than typical consulting engineering designs, as they need to account for every detail required by the fabrication shop. The role involves collaboration with both clients and product manufacturers to ensure that the installation team can avoid mistakes. While not required, prior experience designing conduit layouts within buildings is considered a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design and create models for commercial electrical projects.
• Coordinate the creation of detailed models for fabrication processes.
• Collaborate with clients and manufacturers to ensure accurate installation.
• Ensure designs meet the detailed requirements of the fabrication shop.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Revit for designing and modeling.
• Experience in electrical design and modeling.
• Strong knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.

Nice-to-haves

• EIT (Engineer in Training) or PE (Professional Engineer) certification is preferred but not required.
• Prior experience designing conduit layouts within buildings.
