About the position

As a Vehicle Acquisition Coordinator at AutoNation Hyundai Columbia, you will play a crucial role in our dealership's inventory acquisition strategy. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about the automotive industry and are eager to engage with customers in a dynamic environment. You will be specifically trained to acquire additional inventory for the dealership by actively prospecting outside of the AutoNation Customer Network. This involves utilizing various resources to identify and engage private parties looking to sell their vehicles. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include making cold contacts with prospects who have their vehicles advertised for sale, both online and as walk-ins to the store. You will enjoy consistent interaction with customers throughout the day, both in person and over the phone, which will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In this role, you will review vehicle condition reports, determine wholesale and retail prices, and inspect and accept vehicles arriving onsite. You will also create and execute reconditioning plans to prepare vehicles for sale. Using sound judgment and research, you will make offers on vehicles and close sales, driving incremental business through high levels of engagement with customers. Additionally, you will work closely with management to identify current inventory needs and turn prospective Vehicle Procurement Customers over to an elite sales team for further sales opportunities. This position is ideal for self-motivated individuals who are goal-oriented and have a strong desire to provide exceptional customer experiences.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Extremely self-motivated
  • Ability to set and achieve targeted goals

  • Experience and desire to work with technology
  • Valid In-State Driver's License and an acceptable, safe driving record
