About the position

The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist at Lee Johnson Auto Family is responsible for managing the acquisition of vehicles for multiple dealership locations. This role focuses on scheduling appointments, appraising vehicles, and effectively communicating with team members to ensure a smooth acquisition process. The ideal candidate will have a customer-centric approach and a passion for the automotive industry, contributing to the growth of the dealership's inventory through strategic buying and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all appointments are scheduled at the correct location according to the buying and stocking strategy set by the used car manager.
• Respond to all inquiries effectively and in a timely manner following the LJ process.
• Schedule appointments by adhering to all assigned tasks and duties.
• Appraise vehicles in line with market pricing, reconditioning costs, and LJ standards.
• Pursue core product buys through service, appraisal, and customer mining opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other location associates via phone, email, and text message.
• Provide collaborating managers and salespeople with detailed appointment information.
• Set goals and expectations with management and coworkers during weekly meetings.
• Use provided metrics and analytics to track market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Log vehicle purchases daily.

Requirements

• 1 year of dealership experience (preferred)
• 1 year of automotive sales experience (preferred)
• Valid Driver's License (required)
• Customer relationship management skills
• Entry-level position, no prior experience needed
