About the position

We are currently seeking an experienced Used Car Buyer to join our growing team at Midway Nissan. This position is crucial for managing and acquiring inventory from auctions, ensuring that we maintain a vibrant and diverse selection of vehicles for our customers. As a Vehicle Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering world-class customer service while preserving and growing our current client portfolio. You will develop a strong and effective inventory mix and pricing strategy to meet market demands, continuously prospecting and developing new accounts to meet and exceed sales quotas. In this role, you will also be tasked with training, leading, and developing our sales staff, recognizing customer needs, and creating tailored solutions to meet those needs. You will assist customers with vehicle selection, promoting model options, features, and value-added products and services, as well as purchase and finance options in accordance with dealership policy. Facilitating delivery will be a key part of your responsibilities, where you will provide clear explanations of vehicle features, operation, warranty, and servicing requirements. Additionally, you will act as the source for national and local courtesy deliveries, supplying specifications as needed for orders. Attendance at all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes is required, and maintaining accurate documentation of all sales is essential. You will also coordinate with our service departments to help manage the reconditioning process of used cars, ensuring that our inventory is always in top condition.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and acquire inventory from the auction

Requirements

  • Must have experience in purchasing cars online and in person from the auction and appraising vehicles
  • Commercial vehicle sales experience
  • 2 + years of experience in a managerial role
  • Business to business sales experience is a plus
  • Entrepreneurial in nature, with strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate professionally and effectively
  • Negotiation and sales skills to effectively motivate and lead a team of sales representatives
  • Verifiable sales performance
  • Ability to provide a quality customer experience to fleets of one or one hundred
