This position works with the procurement team and handles the purchasing needs for Mike Shaw Toyota. As a Vehicle Acquisition Specialist, you will handle the purchasing process for sales to procure pre-owned vehicles from the public. You will participate in procurement meetings and function as a team member with other buyers. Additionally, you will be responsible for submitting special reports as requested and training regularly on purchasing techniques. You will need to set and achieve targeted goals, which include setting a minimum of 2 appointments per day and purchasing a minimum of 15 cars per month.

Responsibilities

• Handles purchasing process for Sales to procure Pre-owned vehicles from the Public.
• Participates in procurement meetings.
• Functions as a team member with other buyers.
• Submits special reports as requested.
• Trains regularly on purchasing techniques.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Responsible for setting 2 appointments per day minimum.
• Required to purchase a minimum of 15 cars per month.

Requirements

• Automotive experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task; interpersonal skills.
• Customer service focus; ability to take care of diverse personalities; negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Knowledge in use of social media and digital platforms to generate leads.
• Excellent communications skills, both oral and written; good phone skills.
