The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist at Mac Haik Houston Chevrolet is responsible for acquiring vehicles for the dealership through effective sales techniques and customer relationship management. This role emphasizes building strong relationships with customers, engaging with leads, and delivering exceptional service to ensure a positive experience. Responsibilities

  • Contact prospects via phone, email, and text that are looking to sell their vehicle.
  • Set and manage appointments through the inbound leads received.
  • Manage Driveo system completing tasks assigned and communicating with buying team on vehicle acquisition appointments.
  • Acquire and purchase vehicles for retail sales.
  • Connect with local and regional sellers to build a pipeline of used vehicles.
  • Responsible for acquisition of inventory for used car sales department by developing and maintaining a strong network of used vehicle sources.
  • Ability to forecast the needs of used vehicle inventory at the dealerships.
  • Monitor and understand the used automotive market for trends in vehicle values.
  • Provide guidance and support to dealership sales associates as it relates to purchasing used vehicles.
  • Evaluate and appraise vehicle trade-ins.
  • Communicate with the used vehicle sales team to understand their inventory needs and offer resources.
  • Track used inventory performance and adjust inventory accordingly.
  • Stay informed of vehicle types, makes and approximate wholesale values.
  • Meet designated amount of used vehicle acquisitions.
  • Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
  • Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Mac Haik Automotive group brand.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year of automotive sales experience
  • Experience in business development and customer relationship management
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening
  • Authorization to work in the USA
