About the position

The Vehicle Condition Inspector role at Autobahn Inspection Services involves performing detailed inspections of vehicles at various facilities, including car auctions and retail sites. The inspector is responsible for documenting the condition of vehicles, identifying key details, and providing electronic condition reports. This position requires a strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to work in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform electronic condition reports for each vehicle at assigned facilities.
• Document the vehicle condition of the interior, exterior, trunk area, engine compartment, and undercarriage.
• Correctly identify and document vehicle details, including trim series, options, color, and mileage.
• Take overall photos of the vehicle and photos of any damages.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 - 3 years of auction or automotive field inspection experience.
• Experience in vehicle condition report writing is a MUST.
• Attention to detail for quality and accuracy in condition reporting.
• Great customer service skills.
• Knowledge of electronic condition reporting.
• Expertise in N.A.A.A structural and flood guidelines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in all conditions and follow safety guidelines.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, or kneel.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
