About the position

The Vehicle Electronics Architect (GCIA) position at DCS Corp involves working closely with the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center to manage the engineering of Ground Combat Systems Common Infrastructure Architecture (GCIA) for various vehicles. This role requires a deep understanding of computing, signals, system safety, cybersecurity, networking, electronics, and software, and focuses on ensuring compliance with performance specifications and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the engineering implementation of Ground Combat Systems Common Infrastructure Architecture (GCIA) on specific vehicles.
  • Evaluate contract deliverables and communicate contractor performance towards GCIA compliance to the Army program office.
  • Prepare and review test plans, observe tests, and analyze test results to determine performance adequacy.
  • Perform model-based (SysML) traceability reviews for GCIA requirements.
  • Identify gaps in GCIA compliance of proposed designs.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with engineering of networked vehicle systems.
  • Experience with developing Modular Software Architectures.
  • Model-based System Engineering (MBSE) experience.
  • Experience with wiring diagrams.
  • Scripting experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Training OMG SysML Model User (MU) Certification or Higher.
  • Technical knowledge in system level design of ground combat vehicles, including knowledge of systems, sub-systems, and components of PEO Ground Combat Systems (GCS) Common Infrastructure Architecture (GCIA).
