About the position

The Vehicle Integration role at Volkswagen involves overseeing the integration of vehicle projects both nationally and internationally. The position requires monitoring project status, coordinating validation of experimental vehicles, and ensuring compliance with project budgets. The role also includes representing the vehicle project in various committees and providing critical information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the Department of Vehicle Integration.
  • Make project status transparent and provide it for committees and drives.
  • Coordinate the validation of Vehicle Integration experimental vehicles.
  • Generate job splits with development partners regarding demands, testing issues, and complexity of analysis and approval.
  • Ensure compliance and validation of project budget.
  • Decide on requests, needs for escalation, and prioritization required by the Vehicle Integration section.
  • Synchronize information from the Vehicle Integration section with committees.
  • Represent the vehicle project in committees in Germany.
  • Provide approval recommendations for Vehicle Integration parts.

Requirements

  • 6 years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in German and English, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal, presentation, and written communication.
  • Skilled in the use of software, particularly MS-Applications.
  • Ability to link people, processes, or systems effectively.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Resource management capabilities.
  • Self-starting and self-motivated.
  • Ability to think in a broader scope and work in cross-functional teams.
  • Team management and time management skills.
  • Good administrative skills, including planning and developing structure and priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills, particularly in root cause analysis.
  • Ability to monitor project-specific product and vehicle structures and test new configurations.
  • Ability to lead a team of technicians and escalate critical errors.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in cooperation with VW development departments.
  • Experience in the VW development process (PEP).
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience on test drives.
