The Vehicle Integration Engineer Specialist plays a crucial role in the Department of Vehicle Integration, ensuring that project statuses are transparent and effectively communicated to relevant committees and stakeholders. This position involves coordinating the validation of experimental vehicles and generating job splits in collaboration with development partners. The specialist is responsible for managing project budgets, making decisions regarding requests and escalations, and prioritizing needs within the Vehicle Integration section. Additionally, the role requires synchronizing information from the Vehicle Integration section with various committees and understanding both top-appraisals and top-failures in vehicle projects. The specialist will represent the vehicle project in committees, including those in Germany, and provide approval recommendations for Vehicle Integration parts. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for the vehicle project on both national and international levels within Volkswagen. This includes making statements regarding vehicle status and ensuring that all relevant information is available to participants in the Vehicle Integration process. The specialist will harmonize project statuses and provide necessary updates to the Type tutor, representing them when required. The position demands a high level of analytical and conceptual thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. The engineer will also be tasked with monitoring project-specific product and vehicle structures, testing new configurations, and addressing documentation failures. Leadership skills are essential, as the specialist will lead a team of technicians and escalate critical errors to the IT department in Wolfsburg.
