About the position

The Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist I is responsible for accurately processing vehicle information at the auction, ensuring proper documentation and handling of vehicles received. This role involves data entry, vehicle inspection, and coordination with transporters, all while adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 computer using a handheld computer or provide information via headset for data entry.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
• Flag 'no key' cars and remove key tags from keys.
• Secure trackers to vehicles and get accurate mileage on all vehicles.
• Direct transporters to proper car drop zone and report transport damage as needed.
• Take digital images of vehicles upon receipt and provide proper sale identification windshield code to the driver.
• Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and participating in safety activities.
• Assist on sale days by driving vehicles through auction sales lanes as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 to 3 years of previous Auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• Experience with vehicle remarketing services.
• Familiarity with safety and health procedures in a vehicle operations environment.
