About the position

The Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist I at Cox Automotive is responsible for accurately processing vehicle information and ensuring proper vehicle handling during the registration and check-in process. This role involves using handheld devices for data entry, directing transporters, and maintaining safety standards while working in a dynamic environment. The position requires a commitment to safety and may involve additional duties during auction sales days.

Responsibilities

  • Input accurate vehicle information into the TC75 Handheld Device using the Secure Check-in App.
  • Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
  • Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
  • Flag 'no key' cars and direct transporters to proper car drop zone.
  • Report transport damage as needed and provide proper sale identification windshield code to drivers.
  • Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and supporting safety activities.
  • Assist on sale days by driving vehicles through auction sales lanes as assigned by manager or supervisor.
  • May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Generally less than 2 years' experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear regularly; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb frequently; and lift 1-15 pounds.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1-3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.
