About the position

The Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist I is responsible for accurately inputting vehicle information into the AS400 system, managing vehicle registration processes, and ensuring the proper handling of vehicles received at the auction. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The specialist will also assist in various operational tasks during auction days and may be required to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 computer using a handheld computer or provide information via headset for data entry.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
• Flag 'no key' cars and remove key tags from keys.
• Secure trackers to vehicles and get accurate mileage on all vehicles.
• Direct transporters to proper car drop zone and report transport damage as needed.
• Take digital images of vehicles upon receipt and provide proper sale identification windshield code to the driver.
• Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and participating in safety activities.
• Assist on sale days by driving vehicles through auction sales lanes and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 to 3 years of previous Auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
