About the position

As a Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist II at Cox Automotive, you will play a crucial role in facilitating and managing the transport of aged client vehicles to the Manheim Baltimore Washington location. This position requires you to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and business partners to ensure that vehicles are transported efficiently and in accordance with client guidelines. You will serve as the primary logistics point of contact for Manheim Baltimore-Washington, developing strong working relationships with auction representatives, carriers, and repo agents. Your problem-solving skills will be essential in resolving customer issues, and you will be responsible for escalating more complex issues as necessary. In this role, you will prioritize daily tasks and complete them accurately and efficiently. Effective communication and collaboration with various departments supporting the overall logistics process will be key to your success. You will also be responsible for coordinating the movement of vehicles through the auction process by communicating with different auction teams and stakeholders. Investigating and systematically resolving emerging issues will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that lessons learned from these experiences drive future customer interactions. Additionally, you will notify customer account representatives and relevant transporters of any vehicle transportation issues that arise. To excel in this position, you will need a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED, along with three years of experience in a related field. Alternatively, candidates with a different combination of education and experience, such as any level of degree or certification beyond a high school diploma in a related discipline, or five years of experience in a related field, will also be considered. Safe driving is essential, and a valid driver's license is required. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating effective communication skills and the ability to multi-task. Solid computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and the Internet, are necessary, as is the ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment. Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills are critical, along with the physical ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and manage the transport of aged client vehicles to Manheim Baltimore Washington.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field, or 5 years' experience in a related field.
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced team environment.
  • Solid computer skills, including the ability to use Internet and MS Office effectively.

Nice-to-haves
