About the position

The Vehicle Operations Outside Coordinator II at Cox Automotive is responsible for managing account relationships and ensuring customer requirements are met regarding vehicle condition and repairs. This role involves coordinating with mechanics, reviewing vehicle reports, and providing quality service to clients. The position requires effective communication and organizational skills, as well as a commitment to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage account relationships and maintain effective communications with customers.
  • Work with commercial clients to relay information regarding vehicle conditions and obtain necessary approvals for repairs.
  • Coordinate work with the mechanic shop to ensure timely repairs and communicate progress to clients.
  • Review and update condition reports; approve and audit vehicle repair reports.
  • Walk vehicles with account representatives and recommend reconditioning to enhance vehicle value.
  • Respond to customer inquiries related to vehicles and assist in problem resolution.
  • Communicate with Lot Operations and Recon departments to ensure appropriate vehicle movement and timely completion of reconditioning.
  • Prepare sale vehicle run processes in coordination with account representatives and administrators.
  • Order and account for keys with commercial clients and key vendors.
  • Ensure appropriate scanning and organization of account vehicles in collaboration with lot operations and quadrant coordinators.
  • Review vehicles in the sale lineup, locate missing vehicles, and ensure readiness for sale.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety by following all procedures and participating in safety activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field, or any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline, or 5 years' experience in a related field.
  • Valid Driver's License and safe driving record required.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Effective communication and organization skills required.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service essential.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in vehicle reconditioning or general auto body knowledge is helpful.
  • Satisfactory computer skills and the ability to utilize a portable terminal preferred.
