Additionally, the role requires overseeing the lot to maintain safe and usable drivelines, conducting final quality checks, and creating effective service orders while providing feedback to service teams as necessary. The Vehicle Operations Specialist will also be tasked with ensuring product quality standards through vehicle wash and detailing activities, conducting various audits related to security, inventory, and asset location. Effective communication is essential, as the specialist will need to surface roadblocks and propose resolutions to management. The role includes managing inventory resources, receiving and inspecting incoming inventory, and preparing vehicles for remarketing. The specialist will work cross-functionally with other teams, completing assignments with high accuracy and embracing ambiguous situations. The position requires a resourceful individual who is curious and customer-centric, willing to transport vehicles in various weather conditions and participate in continuous improvement activities. To succeed in this role, candidates should have a foundational focus on the environment and clean energy solutions, as well as the flexibility to work evenings, nights, or weekends based on business demands. The position may also require travel up to 40% of the time to support market launches and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as key player for physical locations including setting schedules and prioritizing vehicle workflows.
  • Manage charging station capacity and maintenance based on scheduled customer demand.
  • Ensure safe and usable drivelines in the lot at all times.
  • Complete final quality checks and create effective service orders.
  • Provide feedback to service and other teams as needed to ensure product quality standards.
  • Conduct various audits including security, inventory, and asset location.
  • Communicate and surface roadblocks to management with proposed resolutions.
  • Ensure adequate stock of supplies and inventory resources proactively.
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming inventory, including completing Bill of Lading (BOL) paperwork.
  • Prepare, inspect, and stage vehicles for remarketing to be transported to auction.
  • Work cross-functionally with proper communication and collaboration with other teams.
  • Complete assignments with a high level of accuracy and embrace ambiguous situations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities with guidance from leads/managers.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience with operations, logistics, or lot management.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
  • Valid state driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain local sales licenses if applicable.
  • Proficiency with computers and software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment that changes day to day.
  • Flexibility to work based on the demands of the business, which may require working evenings/nights or weekends.
  • Desire to work in a workplace that is employee-centric and focused on the environment and clean energy solutions.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
