As a Senior Research Analyst at S&P Global Mobility, you will be responsible for preparing the Light Vehicle Powertrain Forecasts for Mexico, Canada, and the United States. This role involves managing various aspects of the engine, transmission, and electrified propulsion forecasts, ensuring that the data is accurate and delivered in a timely manner. You will collaborate closely with S&P Global analysts to integrate powertrain actions and sourcing patterns, which are critical for creating reliable forecasts. Your work will also include creating and delivering presentations both locally and internationally, focusing on the North American powertrain production environment. In this position, you will report to the Americas Light Vehicle Powertrain forecasting manager and work alongside experienced analysts from around the globe. The team is composed of highly motivated individuals who value teamwork and collaboration. You will ensure the integrity of the powertrain data by employing comprehensive quality control procedures to synthesize and integrate data effectively. Based on your data analysis, you will be expected to provide high-quality forecasts to clients and offer constructive input within your area of expertise to your peers. Your responsibilities will also include conducting global and regional research and analysis on powertrain relevant policies, regulations, and industry decarbonization efforts. This research will guide your forecasts from the regional market level to the OEM level. Client support is a key aspect of this role; you will respond to product inquiries and support clients through various communication channels, including email, telephone, and face-to-face meetings. Additionally, you will present powertrain forecast insights at conferences, tradeshows, client events, and webinars to promote S&P Global's powertrain products and services. You may also be involved in project work that requires collaboration across regions and teams as needed.
