About the position

Team One Chevrolet Buick GMC Truck is seeking an experienced Auto Sales Representative to join their team. The role involves selling and leasing new and used vehicles while ensuring customer satisfaction and meeting dealership standards for gross profit and volume. The ideal candidate will have a professional appearance, strong communication skills, and a commitment to ongoing training and development.

Responsibilities

  • Sell/lease new and used vehicles at dealership standards.
  • Satisfy the transportation needs of vehicle purchasers.
  • Deliver a minimum of 10 units per month.
  • Approach and assist customers entering the dealership.
  • Assist customers in selecting vehicles by asking questions and listening to their responses.
  • Explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.
  • Describe optional equipment available for purchase.
  • Offer test drives to all prospects and follow dealership procedures for identification.
  • Utilize dealership sales control and follow-up system.
  • Exhibit a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Understand federal, state, and local laws governing retail automobile sales.
  • Establish personal income goals consistent with dealership standards and devise strategies to meet them.
  • Attend product and sales training courses as requested by the sales manager.
  • Keep abreast of new products, features, and benefits to customers.
  • Explain equity and values, including depreciation, to customers.
  • Ensure the sales manager meets each customer.
  • Process paperwork in accordance with dealership policies and prepare sold vehicles for delivery.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand operating features and warranty.
  • Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize quality service.
  • Follow up on post-delivery items and maintain a prospect development system.
  • Review and analyze actions to better utilize time and plan effectively.
  • Attend sales meetings and maintain a professional appearance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous automotive dealership experience preferred, but training is available.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • High-energy and positive attitude.
