About the position
As a Vehicle Service Specialist (also known as an auto technician) at Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our guests on the road. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service while performing a variety of preventative maintenance services on vehicles. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the automotive service industry, regardless of prior experience. Through our award-winning training program, you will gain hands-on experience in essential automotive tasks such as changing oil, checking and refilling fluids, rotating tires, testing and replacing batteries, inspecting and replacing lights and wipers, and conducting an 18-point safety check. You will work collaboratively with a team to deliver fast, easy, and trusted services to our guests, all while enjoying a fun and dynamic work environment. Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance services on vehicles including oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and battery tests.
- Conduct 18-point safety checks to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
- Provide top-tier customer service to guests, ensuring a positive experience during their visit.
- Work collaboratively with team members to deliver fast and efficient service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Flexibility to work weekends as needed.
- Eagerness to learn and a friendly attitude towards customers and team members.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Mobility to crouch, bend, twist, and work with hands above head.
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Fluency in English for reading, writing, and speaking.
