About the position

The Vendor Management Analyst (VMA) at 1st United Credit Union is a key role responsible for overseeing the vendor management program. This position ensures the safety and soundness of vendor onboarding and periodic reviews, applying strategic insights into vendor policies and procedures. The VMA will streamline vendor acquisition processes and monitor ongoing vendor performance, acting as a liaison between various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leads in the acquisition and review of new and existing vendors and addresses third-party contracts, service agreements, subscriptions, and amendments.
• Utilizes governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tools to manage vendor contract execution and performance management, including contract terminations.
• Monitors third-party vendor performance and escalates issues to Vendor Owners as necessary.
• Provides support to Vendor Owners for contract negotiations and acts as an intermediary with Legal for contract reviews.
• Assists the Vice President of Compliance and Risk Management with annual vendor reports and updates policies based on regulatory changes and audits.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Three to five years of similar or related experience.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent formal certifications recognized in the industry.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of NCUA, FFIEC, and DFPI regulations and guidelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly analytical mindset with data analysis experience.
