About the position

The Vendor Manager III position is a key role within the procurement services group, responsible for managing the complete vendor lifecycle. This includes sourcing products and services, maintaining vendor relationships, and mitigating risks to ensure value throughout the vendor relationship. The role requires a deep understanding of procurement practices and the ability to drive service excellence while controlling costs.

Responsibilities

  • Research and support the selection of vendors suitable for the organization's needs.
  • Manage vendor relationships from onboarding through service delivery and renewals.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and escalate issues as necessary to mitigate risk.
  • Work with and manage third-party vendors through different stages of the RASCIF, aligned with relevant frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of business arrangement terms, technology concepts, procurement practices, and activities produced through the engagement of business segments and organizational functionality.
  • Provide vendor management guidance throughout the lifecycle to the organization.
  • Control costs, drive service excellence, and mitigate risks to gain increased value from our vendors throughout the life of the relationship.
  • Utilize CRM, Data Mining Techniques, eProcurement, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Budget Processes, Buying Processes, Compliance, Contract Management, Vendor Management, Procurement Strategy, Negotiate Contracts, and Project Management skills in daily tasks.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Vendor Management role or related field
  • Proficiency in CRM software
  • Familiarity with Data Mining Techniques
  • Experience with eProcurement tools and software
  • Understanding and experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
  • Solid understanding of Budget Processes
  • Experience with Buying Processes in a corporate setting
  • Knowledge of Compliance regulations and procedures in procurement
  • Proven experience in Contract Management
  • Strong skills in Vendor Management
  • Ability to develop and implement Procurement Strategy
  • Experience in Negotiating Contracts with vendors and suppliers
  • Project Management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred.
