About the position

The Vendor Operations Manager for Acquisition & Engagement at LinkedIn plays a crucial role in enhancing business performance by partnering with vendor-based representatives. This position focuses on educating and persuading new customers about LinkedIn's platform capabilities, onboarding new agents, and expanding relationships with existing vendors. The role requires a proactive approach to identify opportunities, drive problem-solving, and maintain strong relationships with business partners while ensuring consistent operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the A&E Business and proactively identify opportunities and partnerships to improve business performance.
  • Comfortably deal with ambiguity and drive creative problem solving, leaning on leadership as appropriate for decision making.
  • Champion LinkedIn Culture & Values, inspiring the team and partners.
  • Communicate program key messages, recommendations, and performance insights internally and externally.
  • Develop strong trusted relationships with business partners involved in the program.
  • Partner with Shared Services, Vendors, and A&E leadership to ensure consistent performance by developing and enforcing business/operational structure and workflows.
  • Support ongoing continuous vendor performance improvement initiatives and innovation experiments.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for peers and business partners on training, operations, and quality.
  • Maintain base level knowledge of products, including competitive and industry dynamics.
  • Use data and evidence to make timely recommendations in ambiguous situations.
  • Partner with Shared Services and/or Vendor team on statement of work expectations and support program renewal decisions.
  • Design and maintain vendor training plan, associated resources & onboarding milestones.
  • Deliver training to all major waves and work with Team leads/vendor trainer for future and one-off trainings.
  • Implement sales and quality coaching standards; partner with vendor team to ensure continuous adoption.
  • Partner with Planning and Performance partner to develop quarterly metrics.
  • Implement and maintain standards related to lead routing and SFDC Flows.
  • Support scaling new processes and initiatives relevant for entire lines of business across FTE as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in process improvement or operations management.
  • 2+ years of experience in Sales.
  • Experience in Internet or tech related industries.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of experience in vendor management.
  • Organizational and project/program management capabilities, including the ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and varying deadlines.
  • Experience implementing a vendor operation from scratch.
  • Problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills with experience in applying project management tools.
  • Experience creating vendor contracts, SOWs, etc.
  • Experience in financial planning and payment management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills when working with stakeholders.
