About the position

The re:Cycle Reverse Logistics Operations team is dedicated to providing worldwide cloud computing providers with a centralized platform for managing server and networking assets that are either broken or no longer needed. The Vendor Product Manager will play a crucial role in supporting global operations by developing both short-term and long-term software solutions aimed at managing inventory, enhancing operational workflows, and facilitating complex business logic throughout the reverse logistics process. This position is pivotal in ensuring that security, operational, and business requirements are met by collaborating with internal teams and third-party partners to drive strategic developments and continuous improvements in the Reverse Logistics warehouse management system. The successful candidate will be responsible for enabling new software solutions for over 700 global users, with the potential for growth as the team expands. In this role, the Vendor Product Manager will dive deep into the complexities of the software system, designing and implementing new strategic capabilities that enhance the overall functionality of the operations. The position requires a detail-oriented and creative individual who is self-driven and motivated to maintain and enhance sophisticated software capabilities to meet evolving business needs. The role also demands strong collaboration and communication skills to drive visionary ideas in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the development process.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating with internal technical and business teams to define system development/improvement requirements, technical solutions, and implementation success criteria.
  • Preparing technical documents such as wireframes, threat models, and schemas to promote ideas and design concepts through approvals.
  • Working with internal and third-party teams to refine and test new system features, coordinate implementation, and validate changes in production.
  • Maintaining program and product documentation and configurations to maximize inventory security and business benefits.
  • Coordinating recurring meetings with key stakeholders to track status updates, identify risks/barriers, and drive deliverables, ensuring consistent alignment across all organizations.
  • Managing ticket queue, prioritization, and tradeoffs for strategic system developments.
  • Planning for third-party software costs and tracking spend against budget.
  • Governance over Change Management process.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of program, project, or product management experience in a warehousing, manufacturing, data center, or reverse logistics environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, or 4+ additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of experience using warehouse management and/or inventory control systems.
  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record for improving metrics and performance to SLA.
  • Experience managing a third-party vendor.
  • Experience using programming languages (Java, HTML, etc.).
  • Experience in AWS platforms (S3, RedShift, etc.).
