About the position

The Venue Operations Assistant position is designed to provide support during game days and events at the Peoria Sports Complex, particularly during Spring Training. The role involves assisting the Operations Team in executing planned events and ensuring smooth operations during various activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and implements the execution of activities, events, or programs with minimal direction.
• Exercises necessary supervision of personnel to meet the needs of activities, events, or programs.
• Communicates incidents, decisions, and issues to the specified supervisor regarding activities, events, or programs.
• Follows proper opening and closing procedures during Spring Training games and other scheduled events.
• Assists in overseeing management of part-time Customer Service Representatives and game day interns.
• Performs stadium inspections and evaluations of the cleaning crew to ensure all requested tasks are completed.
• Aids Operations Coordinators in setting up the stadium/event area and provides feedback during events.
• Assists Operations staff with any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Some Event/Baseball Operation experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment in accordance with program and policies and procedures for participants, patrons, co-workers, and self.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, regarding incidents, decisions, and issues pertaining to activities and events.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a customer service setting.
• Experience in a sporting or entertainment facility preferred.

• Competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $22.50 per hour.
