Responsibilities
- Verify insurance information and obtain referrals as needed.
- Input benefits into the system in a timely manner.
- Update insurance information in the system as required.
- Explain to patients their financial responsibilities.
- Inform relevant scheduling staff about eligibility restrictions.
- Answer telephone inquiries and direct callers appropriately.
Requirements
- Strong background in insurance verification and obtaining referrals.
- Verifiable employment history of 2+ years in a similar role.
- Experience with EHR systems and ICD coding.
- Familiarity with mid-level ICD-10 and EMR systems.
- Knowledge of eCW is a plus.
