About the position

The Vertical Project Manager will lead a team of project managers in a Fortune 500 Retail Client environment, focusing on driving project success and process improvements. This role involves overseeing business categories, managing change, refining timelines, and collaborating with cross-functional leaders to enhance studio performance.

Responsibilities

• Leading a squad of project managers to ensure campaign ownership and workload balance.
• Overseeing business categories to ensure projects are well-resourced and free of obstacles.
• Championing change management within the assigned vertical, including process improvements and team training.
• Refining schedules and mentoring project managers as the go-to timeline expert.
• Collaborating with top-tier leaders on key projects when needed.
• Representing the creative project management function internally and externally to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
• Partnering with cross-functional leaders on organizational initiatives to enhance overall studio performance.

Requirements

• 6+ years in project management within retail, advertising, or in-house creative agency.
• 2+ years managing other project managers.
• Strong sense of leadership and ownership.
• Deep knowledge of creative project management, content creation, marketing processes, and media plans.
• A passion for efficiency and improvements.
• Stellar communication skills and strong leadership presence.
• Proficiency with Workfront, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar PM software.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
