The Area Branch Operations Coordinator (ABOC) plays a crucial role in supporting the Area Vice President in enhancing the safety, profitability, effectiveness, accuracy, and efficiency of the Area Branch operations. This position is based in one of several locations including Marinette, WI; Green Bay, WI; Appleton, WI; or Iron Mountain, MI, and requires 40-50% travel between these branches. The ABOC is responsible for providing analytics, evaluation, and reporting of branch metrics and pricing initiatives, ensuring that the branches operate smoothly and efficiently. In this role, the ABOC assists and supports District Managers (DMs) and branch associates in complying with Safety Management Systems, working closely with the Regional Safety Department. The ABOC is tasked with executing Accident and Injury Reduction Plans in alignment with Airgas Safety Council and Safecor guidelines. A key responsibility includes maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safety Management Systems, SAP processes, Business Warehouse (BW) tools, and SharePoint tools. The ABOC provides training and conducts audits on SOPs, sharing results with DMs and branch associates, and following up to measure progress. The ABOC also plays a vital role in ensuring that new employees receive appropriate training on systems, procedures, and processes. They assist in communicating SAP enhancements, changes, and reports from various functional leaders to the appropriate associates within the business area. This position actively participates in disseminating information from regional or corporate leadership, including policy changes, new products, safety compliance, and other projects. Additionally, the ABOC compiles branch metrics, identifies results, and shares best practices across all assigned branches. Regular communication with the AVP regarding progress, obstacles, and process improvement suggestions is essential. The ABOC supports effective teamwork and collaboration among branch associates, field sales teams, and Business Service Center associates, conducting routine visits to evaluate branch performance, safety compliance, and training gaps. Other projects and initiatives may be assigned as needed.
