About the position
The Inside Sales Representative at Airgas is responsible for selling industrial medical and specialty gases, welding equipment, power and hand tools, and safety supplies to a diverse clientele, including hospitals and research facilities. This role emphasizes excellent customer service, effective communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment. The representative will handle order processing, cash transactions, and maintain communication with distribution and account managers.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Enter orders and process cash and charge orders.
- Assist with reconciliation and bank deposits.
- Communicate timely and effectively with distribution managers or account managers regarding customer-related changes.
- Engage with customers via phone, email, and in-person to provide information on costs, ordering, and delivery times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in industrial retail, inside sales, customer service, or inventory control required.
- Proficient in handling cash transactions accurately.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Google.
