About the position

The Priority Seller role at Airgas involves providing essential support for branch operations and profitability through sales activities. This position requires a blend of inside sales and customer service, focusing on maintaining relationships with priority customers and ensuring order accuracy. The role also includes monitoring inventory and promoting community relations, with a significant portion of time spent on customer interactions both via phone and in-person.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day sales support for branch operations and profitability.
  • Monitor gross margins and assist customer service with sales transactions.
  • Manage inventory and promote community relations.
  • Support inside sales efforts, estimated at 25% of the time, while calling on priority accounts.
  • Act as a floater between all branches within the respective district.
  • Collaborate with outside sales to ensure order accuracy and timely customer deliveries.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in industrial retail, inside sales, customer service, or inventory control.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong customer service orientation and professional interaction skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively in diverse situations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly via phone, email, or in person.
  • Reliable transportation and a current driver's license with minimum liability insurance.
