About the position
The Animal Hospital of Huntington Beach is seeking a part-time or full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their busy, privately owned practice. The hospital, established in 1978, specializes in providing high-quality veterinary care for small animals and exotics. With a team of over 10 registered veterinary technicians and a recently remodeled facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the hospital aims to deliver exceptional medical care in a supportive and enjoyable work environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality veterinary care for dogs, cats, small mammals, birds, and exotics.
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure satisfaction and understanding of care options.
- Collaborate with a team of veterinarians and support staff to enhance patient care.
- Utilize advanced medical technology and equipment for diagnostics and treatment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree with a valid California veterinary license.
- At least 2 years of clinical veterinary experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Experience in exotic pet medicine and a strong surgical background are preferred.
- DEA Certification.
