About the position
Garrison Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician/Receptionist to join their team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to pets and their owners, requiring strong communication skills and a passion for animal care. Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with pet clients regarding medical history, medications, procedures, and treatments.
- Assist the Veterinarian with safe restraint for injections, medications, and routine procedures.
- Take diagnostic tests and X-Rays as needed.
- Learn and understand medical records, computerized medical information, and invoicing.
- Prepare animals and instruments for surgery and monitor vital signs during procedures.
- Explain discharge instructions and home care to clients.
Requirements
- Valid Veterinary Technician Certification license.
- 3 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician.
- Strong communication and professional skills.
