Responsibilities
- Accurate record keeping of patient care, surgery, patient history, patient treatments, and diagnostics performed.
- Present treatment plans and apply the proper charges for services.
- Obtain and understand vitals, monitor anesthetic patients, and identify corrective actions for abnormal findings.
- Obtain samples for laboratory analysis and utilize proper radiograph techniques, ensuring knowledge about radiation safety and PPE.
- Understand and calculate common medications and identify proper modes of administration.
- Maintain proper cleaning and disinfecting protocols in all areas of the small animal clinic.
- Review discharge instructions with clients and provide accurate client education.
Requirements
- Two years veterinary technician experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
