About the position

The Client Service Representative at VCA Animal Hospitals plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the veterinary practice. This position is responsible for greeting clients, managing appointments, and providing information about services and products, all while maintaining a welcoming environment for pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and guide clients and their pets to exam rooms.
  • Answer telephones and manage customer inquiries.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for clients.
  • Place outbound calls for follow-ups and outreach to prospective clients.
  • Present and explain fees, including processing payments.
  • Recommend, select, and obtain products and services, including prescriptions.
  • Educate clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care.
  • Manage medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence.
  • Maintain hospital cleanliness, including removal of animal waste.

Requirements

  • Experience in client services or customer service roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
