About the position
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our veterinary office team located at 530 North Main Street, Barnegat, NJ. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that our facilities are kept in a clean and orderly condition, which is essential for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for both our staff and clients. The Cleaner will be tasked with various cleaning and maintenance duties, contributing to the overall hygiene and appearance of the clinic. This part-time position offers flexible shifts between 9 AM and 9 PM, including afternoon, evening, and rotating weekend shifts. The expected hours for this role are between 20 to 25 hours per week, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals seeking part-time employment. The Cleaner will perform a variety of tasks including cleaning, stocking, and supplying designated areas such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning ceiling vents and restrooms. Additionally, the role involves performing routine inspections and maintenance activities, carrying out heavy cleansing tasks, and managing special projects as needed. The Cleaner will also be responsible for notifying management of any deficiencies or repair needs, making minor adjustments and repairs, and maintaining supply rooms. Outdoor maintenance tasks, such as pet waste clean-up and garbage removal, are also part of the job responsibilities. Working efficiently as part of a team is crucial to ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed effectively and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Clean, stock and supply designated areas (dust, sweep, vacuum, mop, clean ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Make adjustments and minor repairs as needed
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Work efficiently as part of a team
- Outdoor maintenance such as pet waste clean up & garbage removal
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a cleaner preferred but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work on your feet for 4-5 hour shifts
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Must be 18+
