About the position
The Veterinary Patient Care Coordinator at HEAL Veterinary Hospital + Pet Rehabilitation is responsible for managing client interactions and supporting the veterinary care team. This role emphasizes customer service, effective communication, and the ability to handle various administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. The position is full-time, with a focus on providing high-quality care and support to pet owners while ensuring a smooth operation within the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Answering calls and managing doctor and rehab appointment schedules.
- Educating clientele about progressive and integrative veterinary care.
- Collecting quality information to advocate for pet parent concerns to the nursing and doctor staff.
- Assisting with patient admission and discharge processes.
- Invoicing and managing reception area retail and food inventory.
- Receiving packages and managing the reception white good supplies and mail center.
- Assisting with the hospital's communications and reminder system.
- Contributing positively to the team environment.
Requirements
- Experience in veterinary medicine.
- Proficiency with computers and smartphones.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Familiarity with Cornerstone practice management software is a plus.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a veterinary office setting.
- Knowledge of electronic integration and social media participation.
