The Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant and Kennel Attendant position at Valley Cottage Animal Hospital is a full-time role that involves cross-training in three key areas: veterinary assistance, kennel attendance, and reception duties. Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and nurses with patient care and treatment.
• Monitor hospitalized pets and prepare occasional prescriptions.
• Perform routine in-house lab work.
• Educate clients regarding veterinary care and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and communication to clients.
• Handle telephone and computer work efficiently.
• Maintain a high attention to detail in all tasks.

Requirements

• 1 year of veterinary experience is required.
• Customer service experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
• Valid Driver's License is necessary.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Dependable, reliable, and competent in handling responsibilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as a veterinary assistant is preferred.
• Ability to work in inclement weather and flexible scheduling.
