Responsibilities

• Answer phones promptly, politely, and proficiently
• Schedule appointments and maintain patient records
• Maintain professionalism under pressure and remain calm under stress
• Work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Multi-task and complete tasks accurately and thoroughly
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
• Exhibit competency in computer skills and cloud-based management software
• Type at least 40 words per minute
• Send professional emails, texts, and voice mail messages
• Demonstrate compassionate care at all times
• Maintain confidentiality and solve problems in stressful situations
• Communicate with pet parents, vendors, pharmacies, and service techs
• Understand basic principles of accounting
• Adapt to changes in protocols due to events such as the Covid-19 Pandemic

Requirements

• Experience in a veterinary hospital is preferred
• Strong client communication skills
• Positive attitude and team spirit
• Ability to handle professional calls and client demands
• Knowledge of EzyVet practice management software is a plus
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
