About the position
The Animal Medical Center of Emmett is seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our growing mixed animal practice. Located in a small town, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional care to our clients and their pets in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be friendly, outgoing, and personable, with a passion for animal care and customer service. While prior veterinary receptionist experience is a plus, it is not a strict requirement, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to enter the veterinary field. We are looking for both full-time and part-time employees who are flexible and willing to work a Saturday rotation. Our practice values teamwork and a positive attitude, and we are excited to welcome a new member to our family.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain the front desk area.
- Handle client inquiries and provide information about services offered.
- Process payments and manage client records accurately.
- Assist with basic animal handling and restraint as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Customer service experience of at least 2 years (preferred).
- Computer skills with at least 2 years of experience (preferred).
- Ability to handle animals safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology is a plus.
Nice-to-haves
- Veterinary experience (preferred).
- Laboratory experience (preferred).
- Experience in animal care and handling.
