About The Position

The Veterinary Receptionist plays a crucial role in supporting the veterinarian by managing routine patient appointments and assisting with surgical procedures. This part-time position involves direct interaction with small animals, ensuring their safe handling during examinations and treatments, as well as performing various administrative tasks at the front desk of the clinic.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• 1 year of veterinary experience (Required)
• 1 year of veterinary technician experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Veterinarian with routine patient appointments and surgical procedures
• Safe and proper handling of small animals during examination and treatment
• Collect and preserve laboratory samples
• Perform all routine work and procedures as in standard animal clinic
• Collaborate with Veterinarians to develop training courses for staff members
• Ensure all surgical equipment is properly sterilized and stored
• Prepare appointment rooms prior to scheduled patient visits
• Answer telephones using proper etiquette and tone as determined by established standards
• Perform all day-to-day front desk work
• Process financial transactions
