The Veterinary Scribe position at Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is designed for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in emergency veterinary medicine. This role involves assisting veterinarians by creating electronic medical records and supporting the medical team in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a unique opportunity to learn about veterinary practices while contributing to the care of animals in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

  • Compose electronic medical records for patients.
  • Communicate effectively with every member of the medical team.
  • Maintain professionalism and an exemplary work ethic.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Submit lab work and notify the doctor when results are in.
  • Assist doctors with any non-clinical duties.
  • Write clearly and concisely with the ability to type quickly.
  • Ability to work overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Veterinary experience or background knowledge.
  • Strong typing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
