About the position

Monument Veterinary Clinic is seeking a qualified and experienced Veterinary Technician Assistant to support a busy small animal veterinary practice. The role involves providing high-quality medical care with compassion, assisting veterinary staff, and managing various technical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for veterinary technicians and veterinarians on duty.
• Perform patient triage and obtain vital signs.
• Assist with laboratory procedures and surgical assistance.
• Manage appointments and patient records.
• Greet and welcome clients and patients, providing information and support.
• Handle invoicing, payments, and client inquiries professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness in examination rooms, surgical suites, and general facility areas.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist in critical care situations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience working in a small animal veterinary environment.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task efficiently.
• Ability to work both under supervision and autonomously.
• Proficient in basic technical skills including venipuncture and anesthesia monitoring.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with in-house laboratory procedures.
• Knowledge of general medical procedures and equipment care.
