About The Position
We’re hiring a Veterinary Technician for our growing animal hospital. As a Veterinary Technician, you will assist the doctor with medical procedures, including surgery, while under their direct supervision. You will provide high quality care to all the pets in the hospital’s care and demonstrate excellent customer service to clients. You will deliver WOW customer service to clients and their pets, assist in surgery care relative to pre-anesthetic protocol, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care. You will also provide written and verbal communication to clients regarding their pet’s care, including answering any questions they may have, helping to educate them on treatments, and gaining their consent for treatment plans. Additionally, you will manage medical records through practice management software and perform various medical tasks such as dispensing medication, performing x-rays, blood draws, placing catheters, obtaining samples, providing treatments, running diagnostic equipment, administering vaccines, and providing animal restraint when necessary. You will also be responsible for the setup, breakdown, cleaning, and maintaining of medical equipment, as well as assisting with cleaning all areas of the hospital.
