About the position
The Veterinary Technician at Princeton Animal Hospital & Carnegie Cat Clinic plays a crucial role in providing high-quality care to animal patients while supporting veterinarians in various medical procedures. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians in the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of animal patients.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, radiographs, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Educate clients on preventative care, vaccinations, and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, wound care, and dental cleanings.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment for patients, staff, and clients.
Requirements
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent; credentialed status preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 1 year or more of experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for client education.
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment and diagnostic imaging.
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, large practice environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience monitoring anesthesia, assisting in surgery, and providing post-operative care.
- Prior experience in an AAHA-accredited facility is a plus.
