About the position

The Veterinary Technician will focus on providing excellent customer service and medical care while properly maintaining the facility. This full-time position offers practical experience working with animals and educating the public about responsible pet ownership, along with excellent benefits including flextime and a 401(k) program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the veterinarian by performing a variety of laboratory tests.
• Assist with the dissection of mammals and birds.
• Assist the veterinarian in surgery and other invasive procedures.
• Perform routine tests on animals and keep track of results.
• Clean, feed, and take care of animals.
• Keep clean and well-maintained clinic equipment.
• Record information about incoming pets.

Requirements

• 2 years of veterinary experience (Required).
• Valid Veterinary Technician Certification (Preferred).
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice-to-haves

• Spanish language skills (Preferred).
