About the position

Park Mall Animal Clinic is seeking a motivated veterinary technician to join our growing team. This role involves providing high-quality care to animals and assisting veterinarians in various procedures. The clinic, established in 1974 and under new ownership since 2018, is committed to offering the best care to both clients and patients, while also engaging with the rescue community to help animals in need.

Responsibilities

• Client/patient relations within the clinic
• Client education- communicate treatment plans, homecare instructions, or appointment information
• Assist the doctor- In appointments, surgery, diagnostics, etc.
• Restrain- safely and securely
• Administer medications- fill take home medications and physically administer medications in the clinic, as well as vaccines
• Proficient in IV catheter placement, blood draws, intubation and anesthetic pre and post op care
• Knowledge on operating an Ultrasonic dental scaler
• Radiographs- Restrain and hold for X-rays as well as properly prepare for X-rays
• Daily cleaning and organization

Requirements

• 1+ year veterinary technician experience
• Good restraint skills
• Comfortable with anesthetic monitoring
• Solid blood draw, catheter placement, and injection abilities
• Well organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic
• Availability for rotating Saturdays
• Ability to lift and restrain up to 40lbs
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
• Authorization to work in the U.S
• Bilingual is a plus
