About the position

Vibee is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Temp Finance Associate to support the finance team during the busy year-end season. This role focuses on reviewing and reconciling financial data, assisting with event settlements, and ensuring financial records are accurate and complete. The position is remote and part-time, lasting for 3 months, and requires strong Excel skills and a passion for the music or entertainment industry.

Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Assist in performing variance analysis to identify discrepancies between forecasts and actual results
• Support preliminary event settlement processes, ensuring all financial data aligns with production records
• Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to gather missing documentation and resolve discrepancies
• Provide support with accounts payable and receivable tasks, ensuring smooth processing during year-end close
• Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting
• Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for leadership review
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures, supporting audit readiness

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related role
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial systems and tools is an asset
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with vendors and internal staff

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in production accounting or the music industry is helpful but not required
