About the position

The Vibration Test Technician at Molex is responsible for preparing and conducting reliability tests on various Molex products, including connectors and wiring harnesses, prior to their release. This role involves setting up and operating testing equipment, summarizing test results, and collaborating with senior technicians and engineers to improve testing procedures. The position is part of the in-house Reliability Lab team, focusing on quality assurance and adherence to industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Molex products for test validation according to specifications.
• Set up and operate standard and custom testing equipment.
• Perform general testing and assist with programming vibration controllers.
• Provide feedback on sample preparation and testing procedures.
• Assist in cross-function training with other laboratory technicians.
• Resolve problems with test equipment and processes as needed.
• Summarize test results using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Review test results with the Test Engineer and report abnormalities.
• Track work hours and record notes on testing as instructed.
• Support Molex Total Quality Management (TQM) and Environmental Management Systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Technical training certificate in an electro-mechanical field with 1 year of laboratory testing experience or 3 years of similar experience.
• Proven hands-on mechanical or electrical skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of lab equipment setup/programming.
• Experience with electronic test and measurement equipment.
• Familiarity with soldering techniques, both manual and automated.
