About the position

The Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (VP / CFO) at Westminster College is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the college. This position reports directly to the President and Chief Transformation Officer and serves as a key member of the senior administration and the President's Cabinet. The VP/CFO will manage financial planning, budgeting, and institutional planning while acting as a liaison to various Board committees. The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure the financial health and operational efficiency of the college.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal financial officer and Board appointed Treasurer of the College.
• Act as a key team member of Westminster's senior administration and a member of the President's Cabinet.
• Liaise with the Board's Financial Affairs Committee and Investment Committee.
• Oversee various administrative functions related to financial affairs and investment portfolio management.
• Provide strategic financial advice to the President and other members of the Cabinet.
• Manage institutional planning, accounting, financial planning, and administration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; strong preference for a CPA and an MBA or relevant graduate degree.
• Over ten years of experience in institutional planning, accounting, financial planning, and administration.
• Demonstrated managerial skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including the President's Cabinet, staff, faculty, and the Board.
• Understanding of financial affairs, budgetary planning, and change management.
• Strong organizational, management, strategic planning, systems thinking, and customer service skills.
