About the position

The Vice President and General Manager of Retail Technology Solutions at Invenco by GVR is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the North American business. This position focuses on driving growth through effective financial management, commercial sales operations, and team leadership, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in P&L management and a proven track record in the retail software industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to meet business objectives and drive growth.
  • Oversee the P&L, ensuring financial targets are met and profitability is optimized.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Achieve commercial goals, drive weekly sales targets, build a robust pipeline and spearhead business development across North American convenience retail customers.
  • Ensure efficient operations across all departments, including product development, software readiness, sales, marketing, and customer support.
  • Inspire, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team that fosters a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Collaborate effectively across Vontier Operating Companies to drive integrated sales motions and unified solutions; breaking down silos.
  • Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the retail software industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong financial acumen, strategic and analytical thinking, leadership and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in managing a Profit and Loss (P&L) of at least $300M and driving significant business growth.
  • In-depth understanding of the retail technology market and emerging trends.
